In principle, in the future the Deutsche Bundesbank will accept only banknote containers for late deposits.

These P-containers are to be used by credit institutes, monetary and valuables transport companies, and other customers making large deposits.
P-containers are a prerequsite for the participation in the simplified banknote traffic with the Deutsche Bundesbank to be agreed with the responsible Landeszentralbanken (Federal State Central Banks)

The Container has been approved by the Deutsche Bundesbank.

ETS-compatibility
On the broad front of the P-container there is a recessed grip so that the ETS-device (electronic transport security) can be connected with P-containers without gaps.

Locks
Two locks are mounted on the broad front of the P-container. These are applied so that they cannot be opened if the ETS-device is attached. The two locks are furnished with drilled holes of 5 resp. 10 mm, which allows to mount security lead seals and one shackle-type lock each.

Compartment for accompanying cards:
The P-container is furnished with a compartment for card on the broad front. This is mounted so that the container card can be taken out while the container is closed. An accompanying card in the dimensions of 165 x 60 mm can be used.

On the lower half of the compartment, there is an additional compartment with plexiglass cover fastened with rivets. Another card can be inserted into this compartment which prevents the monetary value from being seen. Eventual barcode readings are not impaired.

Labelling:
The P-container is furnished with an indexed, manipulation-proof embossed number.

The gross weight of the container with banknotes must not exceed 20 kg. It has to be considered however that 10 packages with DM 100.00 bills weigt approx. 11.5 kg, and the dock-in ETS-device itself weighs approx. 3.5 kg.

Stackability:
The bottom of the P-container is furnished with 4 cams at an angle of 15 degrees which assure the container is stackable. The stack load is approx. 300kg.
